Pre-K4: Getting Ready for Elementary School in Style!
NCCA’s Four Year Old Pre-K classes meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Parents may choose either a half day or extended day program. The half day program meets from 9:00 – 11:30, and the extended day program meets from 9:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Both the A-Beka and Essentials Preschool curriculums are incorporated into daily instruction. Thematic units are taught throughout the year, where pre-reading, phonics, math, science, art, music, foreign language, movement and drama are integrated. Hands-on activities develop your child’s skills in:
- Listening
- Letter recognition
- Number recognition
- Counting
- Beginning sounds
- Sorting
- Classifying
- Problem solving
- Language development
- Fine/large motor development
In addition to Bible memory, daily Bible stories and their application to young lives are incorporated into instruction through learning centers, crafts, and activities.
Parents can add their child to the fall class list beginning on January 3 of each year. Students entering the program must turn 4 by September 1 and must be potty trained..
